The Prospective Marriage 300 visa is issued to individuals who are engaged and plan to marry an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident, or eligible New Zealand citizen. The visa grants the applicant a stay of nine months in Australia, during which time they can apply for the Partner (subclass 820 and 801) visa.
