Our fourth series of the conclave kicked off with an engaging session. Here are the highlights:

Visa Advice from Vaibhav Patel:

  1. Partner Visa Process:
    • Wait for the visa grant before moving to Australia.
    • Live with your partner and after two years, apply for subclass 100.
  2. Parent Visas:
    • Categories: Contributory and Non-contributory.
    • Contributory Visa: Requires up to $43,600 per parent. Faster processing.
      • Offshore: Subclass 143, 173, 103
      • Onshore: Subclass 864, 884, 804
    • Non-contributory Visa: Longer processing times, up to 30 years.
    • Best Options: Subclass 143 and 864 for quicker processing.
    • Family Balance Test: At least 50% of children must live in Australia.
  3. Subclass 870 Visa:
    • For parents who don’t meet the family balance test.
    • Long-term visa up to 10 years.
    • Sponsor must earn a minimum of $84,000 annually.
  4. Global Talent Visa:
    • For highly talented individuals with international recognition.
    • Priority sectors include agriculture, energy, health, digitech, and more.
    • Will be renamed as the Exceptional Innovation Visa from November 2024.

491 vs. 494 Visa:

  • 491 Visa: Offers better control as it does not rely heavily on the employer.
  • 494 Visa: Suitable for those with three years of experience as a retail manager in a regional area.
